What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is the use of video and audio technologies to support long-distance services between Providers and their Clients. Family Behavioral Health offers ongoing telehealth sessions, or on a need basis. Reasons for the need to convert a normally scheduled face to face session to telehealth include bad weather, issues with transportation, reducing exposure to illness, and any other reason why you or your provider can not meet face to face in the office. 

You can convert any scheduled face to face session to telehealth by calling our office, we will notify your provider and they will create a link for the session if you do not already have one. Your provider will send you the Telehealth Session Link via email, text, or through the appointment reminder. 

In some rare cases you and your provider may decide that telehealth sessions are not as conducive as face to face sessions. You can expect to have a conversation with your provider if telehealth sessions are not an option.

What equipment do I need to join a telehealth Session with my provider? 
You’ll need the following to join a Telehealth (online therapy) Session with your Provider:
  • A computer, tablet, or phone. 
  • An external or integrated webcam.
  • An external or integrated microphone.
  • An internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 10 MBPS. We recommend an Ethernet cable over Wifi when possible to ensure you receive the best possible connection through your internet provider. You can check your internet speed here. TIP: Shut down all background applications to ensure Telehealth receives the majority of your internet’s bandwidth, especially applications that use your camera.

Do I need to download google meet?
  • No, you can visit Google Meet on any browser, and login with your gmail account

  • You can download the Google Meet App on a device with a front facing camera

How will I get the link to the google meet?
 Your Provider will send you the Telehealth Session Link via email, text, or through the appointment reminder. If its 5 min past your session start time, and you have not received your link, give us a call. 

I have the URL what do I do now?
Click on the URL, or copy and paste the URL you received from your Provider into an internet browser window. Make sure to grant access to both your camera and audio.
How Do I download the Google Meet app on a cellular device?
Step 1 (PASO 1)
Open App store
Open the App Store in your iOS device or Google Play Store on Android.

STEP 2  (PASO 2)
Search
Click on the search icon and write Google Meet in the search icon.

Toque el icono Buscar y escribe Google Meet en el icono Buscar.
STEP 3  (PASO 3)
Install Now
Once you have searched the app, click on the install option.

Ahora que hayas buscado para la aplicacion, toque en la opcion de instalar
STEP 4  (PASO 4)
Sign in with Gmail account
​Your Google Meet is now ready to be used by signing in with your Gmail account.

Registre con su cuenta de Gmail.  Al registar con su cuenta de Gmail, Google Meet ya se esta listo para utilizar.
